Going on a brief vacation

It has always been a goal of mine to be able to relax every once in a while, you know to reward myself for all the hard work I've been doing. I've been doing just that for the past six years now. I am happy that my past vacations, including this very one I am having right now, were/is with my family and best friends.

I've been aiming to go on international vacations for the past three years now. Last year, I was finally able to go outside the country. My three best friends and I went to HongKong for 3 days. December 8 to 10 in 2011. A very memorable trip for me since it's my very first outside the country. And then my sister and I are in Thailand now for an 8-day stay.

It doesn't matter if the vacation is just two days, overnight, or more than a week. What matters is that I am on vacation and away from the hustle and bustle of my normal life.

HongKong, Thailand... I am hoping that the next one will be in Macau, Singapore and Malaysia.

My love for this blog...

...knows no bounds! ;)

I started my blogging life in this blog. Yes, I had a bravejournal account before and some others that I completely forgot about now. But this blog started it all for me. This used to have a URL of xxxsashaooo.blogspot.com but bloggers from some countries, especially in the Middle East, couldn't access my blog due to perceived x-rated content. The xxx in the URL pretty much did it! Hahaha! So I changed the URL to sashashing.blogspot.com and have stuck with it since then. June 2006 was my starting point but I began blogging way back in 2004 in other blogging platforms.

Anyway, I won't go into too much details anymore. You will surely find more than enough information about my blogging past here somewhere. What I am driving at here is that I will continue blogging here for as long as I can. Maybe even after I am done maintaining so many blogs and I am already going in another direction I will still blog here.

There were times in the past when I thought of personalizing this blog further, using a personal domain, a DOT COM here. But I don't think I'd want that any longer. No, I will keep this blog as is.

A change in templates

I felt like doing something different in this blog of mine so here it is! I changed the blog template. What do you think?

I am loving the vibrant colors of red and black. I am loving the fonts used. I am loving the overall feel of the template.

I pray that the big G of the internet would feel the same way and give me back the rank that this blog lost months ago.

Rain, rain go away!

If you are not from the Philippines, I am sure you have heard about the recent torrential rains that brought so much flooding in the whole country. I am lucky enough not to have experienced the flood but most of my countrymen are not as lucky. Their houses were submerged in flood water and some even died.

I am praying that it won't happen again. There's a typhoon (tropical depression Helen) here in the country right now. Weather authorities are saying it won't make a landfall but we just never know, right? Please help us pray that it won't leave devastation like what the torrential rains did.
